Who are we?

Host Honest is, first and foremost, me: Philipp, also known as HayKer and Bummel, the Host Honest mascot. Drawing on my many years of experience in IT and community building, I launched Host Honest to combine my passion for technology and community in a single project.

The Beginnings

My journey began early on with the creation of my own community, which I launched as a teenager. Under the name “HayKer Productions,” I started out without a clear goal, but with a lot of enthusiasm. Back then, I even had plans to get active on YouTube. At the same time, I was involved in an existing community and a hosting company, where I worked my way up to manager while continuing to manage my own community. When the hosting company was dissolved, it remained a gaming community.

When Life Gets in the Way

Over time, my priorities shifted. Work and personal challenges took up more and more of my time, and my once-thriving community, HayKer Productions, gradually fell apart.

What happened next?

Despite these setbacks, two friends and I decided to start a company that combines hosting and community: “HayKer Productions GbR.” Our ideas were promising, but the organizational workload left us with hardly any time to really move the project forward. In the end, we were unable to find enough time alongside our professional commitments.

Another try

After going through a period of personal reorientation, I once again felt the desire to start a community. That’s how the “Blood Legion” came to be. Unfortunately, this project didn’t go as hoped either, and another attempt to establish a gaming store called “Blood Market” also fell short of expectations. Maybe it was the name, who knows?

Host Honest

Finally, I returned to my original idea: combining hosting and community. That’s how Host Honest came to be. I’ve always been fascinated by technology, and as an experienced Linux administrator, I took the time to prepare everything for a successful launch. Today, I’m here with Host Honest, ready to turn my passion into reality.
